Our medical billing and management office, located in Plymouth, Minnesota, serves anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists who practice in hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers located in Minnesota, Iowa, Alaska, and California.

General Summary

Responsibilities include identifying/verifying patient insurance eligibility and demographic information necessary for billing of medical services that may occur in the hospital (inpatient/outpatient), ambulatory surgery centers, or other facilities.

Essential Functions:

• Verify patient health insurance eligibility information via online tools.
• Validate and enter health insurance codes and patient demographic information into database billing system.
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Education/Experience Required:

• High school diploma.
• Two years of verifying insurance eligibility experience in health care.

Abilities and Skills Required:

• Strong decision making and problem solving skills.
• Ability to multi task with tight deadlines, learn quickly and adapt to change.
• Ability to collaborate with others.
• Sense of urgency.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality with patient and/or medical data.
• Experience using computers and Microsoft applications.
