Our team is searching for an Instrument Engineer to support the McIntosh, Al site where we produce Antioxidants and Light Stabilizers for the plastics and coatings industries. Our materials allow our customers to produce products that maintain high performance throughout the lifetime of the customers end product. As a member of the Asset and Reliability Group, you will provide sustainable solutions to ensure the safe efficient operation of the production units.
Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent
As an Instrument Engineer you create chemistry by…
- Being responsible for the interpretation and adherence to BASF Technical Standards, industry standards, and applicable regulatory and design codes, as applicable to specific jobs and projects.
- Working with a team of highly experienced colleagues to continuously develop not only your technical skills and those in the organization.
- Specifying Instruments, Controls, and Electrical Equipment and requirements for equipment, obtaining Vendor Quotes and directing or providing technical support for equipment procurement.
- Addressing action-items required by Operations or maintenance by meeting time and budget requirements.
- Partnering with Maintenance and Operations to improve the reliability and maintainability of instrumentation used to safely operate the plants.
- Entering purchase requisitions, project information, and work-requests, as well as tracking & coordinating progress for your jobs and projects.
Your formula for success…
- Bachelor´s degree in Electrical Engineering or Chemical Engineering
- 2 - 5 years of relevant industry experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in computer-based business systems - Microsoft Office.
- Having analytical and organizational skills
- Willing to innovate
