Job Summary:
The Department of Radiation Oncology is an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team of clinical care providers and researchers who provide curative and palliative treatment to patients with both malignant and benign diseases. Our department utilizes ionizing radiation to deliver either external beam radiation or radioisotopes with the goal of destroying or inhibiting cell growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management of prostate cancer patients and hormone therapy
- Care for patients with a variety of cancer types.
- Care coordination including new patients, returning patients, imaging studies and aspects of radiation planning
- Assessment of nutritional, psychosocial, and palliative needs
- Assist with clinical trials
- Participation in chart rounds and multi-disciplinary clinics
- Participation in therapeutic procedures

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
- Physician Assistant (NCCPA) or Nurse Practitioner (AANP/AANC) Certification
- Ability to obtain prescriptive authority (DEA License)
- Colorado professional license will be required prior to start date
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in the clinical management of oncology, urology, gynecologic, breast patients or similar field.
- Experience assessing patients and developing care plans
- Experience teaching both professional and lay persons formally and informally
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with multiple medical disciplines, patients and families.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with requesting physicians, anesthesia care team, surgical and medical services, patients, and their families.
- Excellent bedside manner and physical exam skills

Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:
$92,093 to $145,000
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
