***** Please note: This position requires a minimum of 50%-75% travel. Installs will focus on area within driving distance of Las Vegas but some travel is NATIONWIDE! Home most weekends! *****

Install Technician (POS) Responsibilities

• Install network equipment such as: Cash registers, Monitors, printers, cameras, computers, etc.
• Run an assortment of network and video cables and terminating to certification.
• Troubleshoot and resolve a variety of hardware, software, and connectivity problems.
• Train McDonald’s employees on a variety of technical network systems.
• Work on a variety of help desk shifts when not traveling.
• Attend periodic training sessions on software, hardware, and problem solving.

Install Technician (POS) Educational Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Technical Training preferred, but not required.

Install Technician (POS) Job Requirements

• Must be able to travel Nationwide a minimum of 50-75% of the time. Installers are home most weekends, but that is not guaranteed.
• Basic understanding of DOS commands & Windows OS.
• Must be able to squat, kneel, crawl and climb ladders as needed to access equipment and cabling.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Must be comfortable and willing to work from a ladder.
• Willing to work in inclement weather.
• Comfortable driving in times of low visibility, such as night driving or during inclement weather.
• Possess good phone etiquette and has the ability to communicate well with others.
• Follows direction well.
• Customer’s satisfaction always in mind.
• Knows the basic art of troubleshooting.
• Willing to travel 2 – 3 weeks a month.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work flexible shifts.
• Must pass pre-employment and random drug tests.
• Not been convicted of a felony in the past 5 years.
• Not charged with a DUI within the past 5 years.

Install Technician (POS) Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a quick service environment.
• Computer assembly/disassembly.
• Comfortable using construction tools such as: Drills, hand saw, cable crimping tools, etc.
• Help Desk Support

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
