Industrial Painter/Paint Technician
Spencerville, IN

Forge Industrial Staffing is currently seeking to fill multiple Industrial Painter / Paint Technician positions on 1st shift with our client located in Spencerville. You don't want to miss out on this great opportunity!

Available Shift
– 1st shift, 7 am - 3:30 pm

Pay Rate
– $15 - 17/hr

Responsibilities
– Apply paint to parts to meet required quality and finish specifications.
– Assist in maintaining equipment in paint and powder booths.
– Training and working with the other Industrial Painters on Flat Line and Overhead Line.
– Follow all safety/environmental and quality requirements/procedures.
– Maintain necessary records of all paint material mixed and disposed of as outlined on the OJT.
– Have knowledge of electrostatic, two-part components, paint gun repairs, and all spray application equipment and paint and powder booth equipment.
– Manually operate electrostatic and/or conventional spray equipment to paint a wide variety of parts.
– Set up paint gun and paint pots for proper paint flow.
– Read and interpret viscosity and thickness instrumentation.
– Obtain complete coverage free from blemishes.
– Flush out hose lines daily or before each change of color.
– Maintain work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
– Maintain good housekeeping practices in accordance with Rhinehart Finishing practice.
– Assist employees when issues arise.
– Maintain all paperwork associated with the packing and special projects team including, but not limited to: traveling process information sheets and prints, product identification tags.
– Monitor all paint inventory items associated with the production demands of the department including supplies, materials, and equipment with the assistance of the Plant Supervisor and/or Paint and Equipment Maintenance Specialist.

Requirements
– Must be a team player, be organized, self-motivated, and have problem-solving abilities.
– Good interpersonal skills and communication skills.
– Multi-task and prioritize along with the ability to meet deadlines.
– Ability to count and complete simple math.
– Perform the job safely while adhering to company safety standards.
