Job description
Qualified candidates would be ones with experience doing basic welding and cutting, setting bearings, general maintenance, alignment of pulleys, installing and repairing of industrial machinery and competent with operating basic hand and power tools. This job will involve some work in the branch workshop and a significant proportion of time traveling and working out at customer sites.
The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Will:
- Perform laser alignment of pulleys, drives and gearboxes.
- Do basic welding/cutting including stick, wire, plasma, gouging.
- Set bearings, rollers, and gear boxes on conveyor systems.
- General maintenance on different types of warehouse equipment.
- Use scissor lifts, boom lifts, fork trucks, hoist pulleys, and rollers to complete job properly and effectively.
- Repair & replace components on old & new conveying and milling equipment.
- Fabricate components in an outdoor setting, including welding, torching, cutting, measuring, etc.
- Assemble and install machinery.
- Oversee preventive maintenance by performing inspections and identifying and correcting issues.
- Work in full compliance with approved safety regulations, including but not limited to LOTO Permit, Hot Work Permit, Confined Space Permit, and other safety policies.
- Record keeping and reporting.
Work involves a wide range of methods and procedures on a variety of complex and routine duties, requiring considerable care as to adequately and properly dismantle, repair, lubricate, reassemble, fabricate, or otherwise work on general maintenance in varied capacities at basic level of such occupations as machine repair, pipefitter, plumber, millwright, and welder.
