About

I have an immediate need for an in-home bilingual (English & Spanish) Pre-K to Kindergarten tutor in Missouri City. The students are siblings. The older sister is in kindergarten and the younger brother is a 3 year old. They need assistance with Spanish & homework help.

Both students are semi-bilingual (English is their first language) and attend a school that is taught in English. Their family wants the tutor to work through their homework with them each week as well as work on developing their Spanish language speaking skills.

They get weekly homework for the tutor to work through with them but they are also wanting the tutor to take a focus on developing the student's bilingual speaking abilities. The family is open to the tutor spending time with the kids focusing solely on the Spanish such as playing games or other activities that the tutor thinks will be effective. The family is open to providing materials for the sessions as well, be it Spanish or English to work on.

The goals of tutoring are to help the kids with their homework, have a good understanding of the materials being covered, and develop theirs bilingual speaking abilities.

The family wants 2 hour sessions 3 times a week. They are available Monday & Wednesday through Friday from 3pm-7pm.

Job Requirements

• Tutor must be willing to work at the students' home in Missouri City not far from Scanlan Oaks Elementary School.
• Tutor must be bilingual in Spanish & English.
• Tutor must be available for 2 hour sessions three times a week on Mon, Wed, Thurs, or Fri between 3pm-7pm.
• Minimal travel required to meet with student (you decide the distance you are willing to travel, typically 5-10 miles)
