We are currently seeking an Imaging Center Assistant Manager to help oversee and co-manage The Jim & Eleanor Randall Breast Center in Pasadena.

Pay Range: $38.50-$58.00

The Imaging Center Assistant Manager assists the Imaging Center Manager to plan, organize, direct, and control the activities of the Operations function of the Jim & Eleanor Randall Breast Center - Hill Medical Corporation division. Responsible for assisting with the performance of all department functions — Clinical Operations, Mammography, DEXA, Front Office, and all other patient care services in the Imaging Center. Also assists with maintaining and updating technologist education and licenses, biannual medical audits, acts as the patient contact on all result letters and issues that arise, performance reviews (overseeing the clerical evaluations for RBC employees, performing technologist evaluations), oversees QA and QC mammography tests, assigns and oversees individual job duties in the mammography department, oversees and manages MRS system and all items and functions that has the MRS involves, oversees the mammography schedules for patients, chairs monthly meetings with entire staff, maintains all policy and procedure manuals, tracks service maintenance on all mammography equipment, handles QM, and oversees all regulatory issues including MQSA, FDA, ACR, et al. accreditations, oversees compliance with Radiologic Health Guidelines, oversees the Incident Reports, and recruits and hires mammography and DEXA technologists.

What You Will Do --

Work Alongside Imaging Center Manager to:

  • Provide support to leadership for clinical operations division. Assist with implementing organizational initiatives, develops, communicates, and reinforces a shared sense of purpose and vision.
  • Maintain proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems in place to effectively grow the organization and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency.
  • Maintain strict quality standards and establishes a clear direction and focus. Support organizational leadership, implement and enforce policies.
  • Responsible for developing and directing programs and initiatives for imaging center.
  • Work directly with modality and departmental supervisors with objectives to improve patient care, efficiency, and reduce expenses.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of integrated process and determine and implement appropriate change to assure success in effective patience care.
  • Implement, coordinate, evaluate, analyze, assess and direct all corporate-related functions and activities (internal and external) for all assigned departments.
  • Manage organizational patient satisfaction programs; implement goals, objectives, standards of performance; develops operating policies and procedures; interpret policies, standards and regulations to appropriate staff, patients, and the public.
  • Participate with the Administrative and Executive Teams in annual and long-range planning for assigned areas.
  • Ensure consistent and effective internal processes and communications in order to strengthen the provision of high quality programs and engagement of employees.
  • Meet deadlines on assignments that have been assigned by the Clinical Operations Director.
  • Review performance against operating plans and standards. Provide reports to subordinates on interpretation of results and approves changes in direction of plans.
  • Present monthly reports on performance as requested Management.
  • Define and recommend objectives in each area of responsibility. Develop specific short-term and long-term plans and programs, together with supporting budget requests and financial estimates.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other departments of the corporation in establishing and carrying out responsibilities.
  • Assign access to staff schedule application, review/approve timesheets and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Assist and develop plans for new areas of technology for the clinical functions along with sufficient planning for areas that support the mission of the organization within imaging center and Hill Medical Operations.
  • Oversees compliance with all federal, state, and local rules and regulations.

Management Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the implementation of clinical operations and organizational plans that support the organizational goals.
  • Maintain strict quality standards and establishes a clear direction and focus.
  • Establish objectives and procedures governing the performance of assigned activities. Issue specific annual objectives to immediate subordinates and reviews objectives of the imaging center clinical operations management team.
  • Select and maintain qualified personnel in all positions of imaging center operation while monitoring all schedules to maximize patient volume and works with supervisors and staff to increase capacities.
  • Direct, monitor, and appraise the performance of units immediately reporting and provides the necessary coordination between activities. Produce timely performance evaluations of all assigned staff.
  • Identify training needs, initiate development of subordinates, and recommend effective personnel action.
  • Maintain appropriate communications within area of responsibility. Responsible for conflict management resolution and coaching on resolving employee issues.
  • Keep employees informed regarding to organizational plans and progress. Responsible for maintaining employee engagement and healthy morale among staff.
  • Consult with all segments of management responsible for policy or action. Ensure compliance within area of responsibility. Make recommendations for improving effectiveness of policies and procedures.
  • Assist with Imaging Center Managers and Directors to oversee compliance with all federal, state and local rules and regulations.
  • Monitor all schedules to maximize patient volume and works with supervisors to increase capacities.
  • Resolve complaints from patients, referring physicians, radiologists, and organizational departments.
  • Collaborate with management members on programs and initiatives.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assume other activities and responsibilities from time to time as directed.
  • Provide orientation and on-the-job training for subordinates and ensures that the authority and responsibility for each position are defined and understood.
  • Ensure that duties, responsibilities, authority and accountability of all direct subordinates are defined and understood.

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Management or equivalent experience.
  • Current ARRT and CRT mammography certification in digital mammography required.
  • Affiliation with successful Radiology groups.
  • A minimum of three (3) years in a Clinical Executive role in the medical field, radiology/mammography preferred.
  • Sound administrative skills, well-developed management skills—principles and people.
  • Proven ability to recruit, train, and motivate personnel in order to balance staffing strength with profitability and growth.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and reasoning abilities.
  • Participative management type—advocates team concept.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills. Ability to get along with diverse personalities; tactful and mature demeanor.
  • Ability to establish credibility and be decisive—but able to recognize and support the organization's preferences and priorities.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Results oriented with the ability to balance other business considerations.
  • Must have a valid California Driver's License.
  • Must be able to lift at least 20 pounds.
