The Human Resources Generalist. This position supports the HR Department with a variety of HR tasks included soursing, interviewing, on-boarding, HRIS administration, employee relations, training, and employee communication. This position has a strong emphasis on full cycle recruiting.
Essential Functions
- Record data for each employee, including such information as addresses, absences, supervisory reports on performance, and dates of and reasons for disciplinary action and terminations.
- Conduct reference, drug-testing, and background checks on job applicants.
- Conduct exit interviews and ensure that necessary employment termination paperwork is completed.
- Explain company personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to employees or job applicants.
- Hire employees and process hiring-related paperwork in the HRIS.
- Tactfully address employee relations issues, such as harassment allegations, work complaints, or other employee concerns.
- Answer questions regarding eligibility, salaries, benefits, and other pertinent information.
- Prepare and set up for new employee orientations.
- Compile and prepare reports and documents pertaining to personnel activities.
- Support interview processes as appropriate.
- Process and review employment applications to evaluate qualifications or eligibility of applicants.
- Arrange for advertising or posting of job vacancies and notify eligible workers of position availability.
- Provide data to the HR Director as needed.
- Train with HR Benefits and Compensation Specialist to be the back-up administrator for processing payroll and enrolling benefits.
- Support onboarding for new-hires.
- Support the annual benefits enrollment process.
- Support corporate goal setting and performance review initiatives.
- Assist in the preparation of, and distributes, written and verbal information to inform employees of benefits.
- Keep the Director of HR informed of HR concerns, issues, problems, etc.
- Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Adhere to Cellofoam North America Inc. company focus areas – safety, financial, customer, and people.

Education
- A Bachelor’s Degree or comparable background of work-related experience in human resources related discipline preferred.
