Our company is looking for a qualified Human Resources Assistant to join our team in Brewer. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual with a strong eye for detail and a positive team attitude. The ideal candidate holds a minimum of an Associate Degree and has experience working in an office environment.
This person will report to the Human Resources Manager. An important part of this role is oversight of the entire hiring/new employee onboarding process. The HR Assistant will attend career fairs to recruit new staff. They will correspond with walk-ins and will schedule interviews and employee orientation. The ideal candidate has an outgoing personality, is comfortable speaking in front of small groups, and will enthusiastically communicate about Somic America, Inc. to prospective staff.
Additionally, this person will be responsible for various tasks including generating and distributing weekly reports and maintaining and updating personnel files. They will play a key role in the plant’s safety and will be expected to maintain employee confidentiality.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
