The Human Resources Assistant provides assistance and support within the Human Resources Department. This position will be performed in accordance with Mennonite Home Communities Core Values, Mission Statement, and regulations.:

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.:
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Assists with administering and maintaining personnel records, employee health information, I-9 and criminal records, and motor vehicle records.
  • Assists with new employee orientation, onboarding, and offboarding processes. Assists with recruitment and interviewing as needed.
  • Responds to questions or forms regarding verification of employment, wages, and reference checks.
  • Completes and tracks responses to Unemployment Compensation claims. Provides Director of HR/Risk Management with quarterly updates.
  • Tracks license and certification expiration for RN, LPN, and CNAs.
  • Assists with maintaining employee information within an on-line training platform. Tracks employee training progress.
  • Creates and posts department schedules and enters approved PTO into on-line scheduling platform.
  • Participates as a member of the Safety Committee.::
