PURPOSE:
The Human Resources Generalist will administer all aspects of HR including recruitment, benefits, new hire orientation, employee relations and HRIS/Payroll entry and maintenance. This role supports all Airtech employees based in the US, with the largest presence in NJ, as well as smaller sites in MD and NC. The right candidate must consistently model business partnership, cooperative team spirt, and high integrity.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Responsibility for recruitment, employee relations, policy and procedure administration, benefit administration, and HRIS initiatives.
- For assigned open positions, perform recruitment related activities including placing ads, sourcing and reviewing resumes, screening candidates and interviewing.
- Responsible for the accurate and timely input, maintenance, and reporting of all employee data, including HRIS and security system maintenance.
- Process new hires/terminations respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits, policies, and procedures.
- For assigned open positions, perform recruitment related activities including placing ads, sourcing and reviewing resumes, screening candidates and interviewing.
- Review and ensure accuracy of all new hire, medical, and current and terminated employee data and files.
- Provides consultative support to functional area supervisors and managers to assist them in carrying out their goals and responsibilities.
- Create and generate a variety of reports for internal consumption, for communication to parent company and for various regulatory purposes.
- Responsible for Workers Compensation program and OSHA reporting.
- Administer Company communication program including new hire postings, new hire orientation, internal job opportunity program, employee referral program, etc.
- Participate in the plant safety programs.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors degree in applicable field or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of prior applicable experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
- Prior HRIS experience, preferably, Workday
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Assignments require original thinking and ingenuity to solve problems.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Computer competency – Intermediate level in Powerpoint and Excel
- Strong Process orientation and ability to create and improve employee related processes.
- Multilingual is a plus not required; Spanish, Russian, Polish languages.
- PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- While performing duties of the job, employee is required to move around; use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear
- Employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
