Function:
This position provides human resources support for a designated Evergreen region to include responsibilities in some or all of the following areas: associate relations, manager coaching, hiring, performance management, engagement, contract interpretation, staffing and separations, policy implementation and employment law compliance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- The primary role of the HRBP at EHL is to serve as the liaison or personal face of HR between Home Office (Corporate) and EHL’s branches/regions. Developing strong, professional relationships in alignment with the EHL vision is required.
- Respond to all performance management needs; provide sound HR advice in accordance with EHL standards, the Associate Handbook and federal, state and local laws and regulations. Focus on building autonomy in designated region as much as possible within a clear framework.
- Responsible for coaching managers regarding all aspects of associate relations including training, employment, leaves of absence, policy questions and separations.
- Team with HR management in regard to any issues that must be escalated, including legal consultation as needed; investigations will be conducted with oversight by HR management.
- Coordinate recruiting efforts and work closely with managers; respond to job posting requests and provide advice, create new job descriptions as needed, and assist with recruiting activities.
- Create employment contracts, addendums and amendments for new and current producing associates. May work with corporate counsel on some projects.
- Travel for onsite support based on regional/branch level need and on mutually decided schedule to provide associate relations support, separation assistance, HR training and general representation of HR and EHL objectives.
- Maintain a strong and current understanding of HR and Mortgage industry knowledge.
- Team with department to answer all incoming department emails to align with the department’s service level agreement.
- Provide outstanding internal and external customer service in alignment with company mission and vision.
- General HR support and other HR projects as requested. - Have strong organization skills, the ability to learn quickly, and accuracy/timeliness in completing tasks.
- Perform all actions in accordance with policies and procedures of the company.
- Expected to meet productivity guidelines of the position.
- Effectively use software specific for the position and Microsoft office products.
- Work well with other members of the EHL team and be willing to fill in when needed.
Specific Skills/ Knowledge/ Abilities Required for Position:
- Bachelor's degree and PHR preferred; or equivalent in experience
- 2-4 years’ progressive experience in a generalist capacity (can be concurrent)
- HRIS experience required, and UKG experience a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Client (internal and external) service oriented
- Creative and persistent problem solver
- Ability to handle sensitive situations and confidential information
- Flexible and adaptable; ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, occasionally noisy environment.
- Ability to travel domestically to EHL offices (<10%).
- May be required to drive for business purposes and if so, must hold a driver’s license in good standing and maintain personal auto insurance in compliance with EHL’s Auto Insurance policy.
- Must be able to speak and hear, lift and carry up to twenty-five pounds (25 lbs.) or occasionally more.
- Requires all forms of dexterity and mobility throughout the shift.
- Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, sit climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Management reserves the right to assign, change and/ or modify these job duties/ responsibilities at any time.
Job Type: Temporary
Pay: $62,000.00 - $79,000.00 per year
