Title: Housekeeper

Location: Williamsburg, VA

Pay: $20.00hr

Hours: 7:30am - 4pm Rotating weekends

Contract Assignment

Duties/Responsibilities:

• To perform a variety of housekeeping duties with positive expectations; to ensure cleanliness and sanitary conditions are maintained for residents and employees.
• Maintain floors: hallways, residents area, dining area, showers rooms using Wet Floor signs an double-bucket procedures as scheduled according to EAC work schedule: buff, strip, refinish and vacuum.
• Employee needs to be flexible to cross train in other areas such as carpet cleaning and upholstery cleaning as needed scheduled.
• Wash beds and mattresses thoroughly clean.
• Clean and sanitize showers and bathrooms, fixtures, hand rails, commodes, sinks mirrors, curtains, and mats daily, and as needed/scheduled; replenish supplies daily.
• Thoroughly clean food units, microwaves, refrigerators, and water fountains daily, wipe off tables and chairs daily.
• Thoroughly clean window sill, blinds, vents, and door knobs; check and adjust curtains daily and as needed.
• Trash and hazardous waste is disposed of daily as needed/scheduled according to EAC scheduled using correct procedures.
• Receptacles are cleaned and sanitized daily.
• Equipment is properly cleaned and stored daily.
• Supplies are stored properly and closet cleaned as scheduled.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Have basic knowledge of housekeeping procedures and ability to learn proper techniques.
• Ability to receive written and/or oral instructions; must be able to work independently and use time wisely.
• Knowledge of housekeeping equipment.
• Demonstrate wellness, self-care and ability to perform heavy lifting and repetitive tasks to include pushing, bending, stooping, standing and walking; and in various environmental conditions (extremely humid, hot or cold) on various surfaces.
• High School Diploma or GED ( required)
• Housekeepking or Environmental Services experience in hospital or instituional setting. (preferred)
