CARING HOMEMAKER PROGRAM
Monday - Friday
JOB DESCRIPTION: Homemaker

JOB SUMMARY: *The homemaker shall be responsible for the cleanliness & neatness of resident apartments-laundry services and ensuring that the residents live in a safe environment.
*
QUALIFICATIONS:*

• High School Diploma or GED preferred

• 1 year of housekeeping experience preferred.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:*

• Maintains a working relationship with the Program Administrator and co-workers.

• Maintains a professional relationship with all residents.

• Maintains confidentiality of verbal and written information about residents, facility operations, and other personnel. '

• Maintains the resident's privacy and dignity.

• Encourages residents to maintain their independence.

• Has a complete understanding of fire, emergency, and safety procedures.

• Adheres to policies and procedures and standards regarding infection control.

• Has a complete understanding of the hazards and safety of oxygen used by residents.

• Follows and understands services to be provided to each resident according to their individualized service provider.

• Maintains the cleanliness and neatness of residents' apartments.

• Cleans refrigerator, stove/oven, cabinets, and silverware drawers as needed.

• Vacuum/ mop and dust as needed.

• Assist with laundry: washing & drying clothes, folding and putting away laundry.

• Strip and remake bed as needed.

• Cleans the bathroom, including bathroom floor, vanity, toilet, and shower/tub.

• Removes trash from residents' apartments daily.

• Reports any change noted in resident to Program Administrator.

• Report any unsafe equipment or issues to Program Administrator.

• Abides by established guidelines of the facility and governing regulations.

• Any other responsibilities deemed necessary by Program Administrator.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.75 per hour
