Job description
The HomeFront Resource Network exists to connect families in poverty with the items they need to live lives with dignity. The Resource Network consists of two ongoing and several pop-up food pantries, a Diaper Resource Center that distributes diapers, wipes, and feminine hygiene products, our Furnish the Future program that provides gently used furniture to families moving into independent housing, the FreeStore where families can access clothing, housewares, linens, and appliances free of charge, and more. The Freestore Summer Associates will work to provide these items to HomeFront families by harnessing the caring and resources of our community.
Member Duties : 1. Quickly and efficiently sort, hang, and merchandise donations of clothing, shoes, linens, housewares, small appliances, and more, ensuring store is well-stocked and providing items clients need, including grocery bags. 2. Assist in arranging merchandise displays throughout FreeStore to create a pleasing shopping environment. 3. Greet clients and provide quality customer service, assisting clients during their shopping experience when needed and ensuring clients get the items they need. 4. Work with staff and volunteers to understand donation processes at HomeFront’s main office and warehouse and analyze supply and demand of items provided to the FreeStore. 5. Create and facilitate survey to receive client feedback on FreeStore services and experience. 6. Work with staff and volunteers to determine and implement improvements and new ideas for FreeStore offerings, ways to display merchandise, ways to reach clients in need, and more.
