Qualifications

• AAS Degree in Early Childhood Education/Child Development or closely related field
• Three years’ experience in Infant/Toddler Child Care with the knowledge of the principles of child health, safety, and nutrition, adult learning and family dynamics
• Experience in instructing adults
• Bilingual Language Abilities a plus, English/Spanish
• Conditions of Employment: Luzerne County Head Start, Inc. requires staff to possess current, valid Background Clearances (3) and to be Fully Vaccinated against COVID-19. Proof of vaccination for COVID-19 will be required unless exempted by federal, state or local laws

Responsibilities/Duties
HOME VISITING PROGRAM: To provide early, continuous, intensive and comprehensive child development services to children, birth to age three that honor their unique characteristics enhancing their physical, social, emotional and intellectual development. Provide family support services and link families with appropriate agencies and services that enable parents to fulfill their roles as parents and to move toward self-sufficiency

Location, Hours & Salary
Early Head Start HOME VISITING PROGRAM in the greater WILKES-BARRE, WEST SIDE/Edwardsville, and HAZLETON areas.

Full Time, 37.5hrs/wk, Non-Exempt Status
Salary/Hourly: $19.90
Additional pay (5%) for Bilingual Language abilities - Eng/Spanish
Additional pay for BS Degree
