Hennebery Eddy Architects seeks skilled historic preservation specialists who share our values and commitment to serve our community, foster belonging, preserve the past, and contribute to a sustainable future, to join our Historic Resources Group. We currently have positions open at our office in Portland, OR. Periodic travel is required.
Typical Responsibilities
- Performing historical research, hands-on condition assessments, and materials analysis
- Technical writing such as preparation of National Register nominations, Determinations of Eligibility, Historic Structure Reports, Building Preservation Plans, and similar
- Preparing compliance documentation, including state-level and Section 106 submittals, and applications for Historic Preservation Tax Incentives
- Assisting historic project design teams during Pre-design phases
- Supporting and furthering goals and initiatives of the Historic Resources Group
- Actively contribute to mentorship, office culture, initiatives, and learning programs
Preferred Qualifications
- LEED or Living Future accreditation
- Graduate level studies or degree in Historic Preservation or closely related field
- Demonstrated experience with historic preservation services through prior project work
- Evidence of technical writing through prior project work
- Basic skills in Bluebeam and Adobe InDesign, Revit skills are a plus
- Two or more years of professional experience with historic resources
