Locally owned auto repair center in Grimes, IA is hiring for multiple positions, including
qualified automotive technician and oil and tire technician. Our repair facility needs a
dependable, hardworking, and goal-oriented technician. We are a growing business, so
experience in service writing and sales is a plus. Temperature controlled workshop (Heated
and Air Conditioned). We offer competitive pay and have an incentive bonus program.

Qualified Automotive Technician
Duties include:
o Repair automobiles, trucks and other motor vehicles
o Specialize in vehicle suspension, brakes, electrical, drivetrain and air conditioning
o Perform routine vehicle maintenance
o Use diagnostic tools to test vehicle components
o Perform quality inspections prior to returning the vehicle to the customer
Preferred:
o Ownership of necessary tools
o ASE certified a plus
o At least 2 years of automotive repair experience
o Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
o Deadline and detail-oriented
o Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
o Knowledge of shop equipment
o Must be at least 18 years old to apply

Oil and Tire Technician
Duties include:
o Oil Changes
o Tire Rotations
o Cabin Filter Replacements
o Wiper Blade Replacements
o Quality Inspections

Responsibilities:

• Closely work with engineers and designers to ensure that the vehicle meets a number of requirements.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and other mechanics.
• Familiarity with a variety of components and technologies used on vehicles.
• Able to perform the labor necessary for installations and repairs on vehicles.
• Experience working with various tools, including pneumatic tools and power tools, as well as torque wrenches and tools used to pick up heavy objects.
• Have a working knowledge of all major systems on a vehicle.
• Understand how vehicle systems interact with each other; be able to identify problems with how a system works as part of the whole vehicle..

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
