Overview:
Atlantic Health System is seeking a full-time HIM Analyst for the Health Information Management Department at Chilton Medical Center to work from 9am to 5pm
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Processes requests for release of medical information; observes all policies regarding confidentiality of medical records, the patient's right to privacy and the legal interest of the hospital and medical staff.
- Serves as the primary reception area for HIM services.
Minimum Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate degree in Health Information Technology.
- Bachelor’s degree in health information management.
Minimum Experience:
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in a health-care setting working with electronic medical record systems.
- Preferred experience in release of information.
Licenses/Certifications:
- AHIMA credential is preferred.
