Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Informatics Team Specialist and guidance of the Help Desk Team Lead, provides computer support to Lutheran Health Network staff in the utilization of hospital computer application systems. Such support is generally thru phone but also may include e-mail, fax, personal contact, and remote control software. Provides technical guidance in identification, prioritization, and resolution or referral of reported problems. Acts as liaison between user and various other departments to ensure that all on-line system problems are resolved in an accurate and timely manner. Works to ensure maximum uptime for users across all of LHN.

Minimal Acceptable Job Qualifications

Licensure:

  • N/A

Education/Experience:

  • Two years experience in personal computer support or customer support activities with knowledge of Microsoft Windows and application with an Associates degree in Computer Science or related field*
    • An additional three years of customer support, hardware or software support experience will be accepted in lieu of an associates degree.

Registration/Certification:

  • One of the following Customer Support Specialist, Help Desk Analyst, or equivalent certification
