Job description
Overview:
- Administer emergency medical treatment to battlefield casualties
- Assist with outpatient and inpatient care and treatment
- Prepare blood samples for laboratory analysis
- Prepare patients, operating rooms, equipment and supplies for surgery
Requirements:
- Those who want to serve must first take a series of tests that helps you better understand your strengths and identify which Army jobs are best for you.
- You may be qualified for ACASP if you already have your EMT certificate.
Basic Eligibility:
- Age 17-34 (age waiver up to 40 may be considered)
- Minimum high school diploma or GED
- Citizen of the United States or green card
- No major medical issues
- No major criminal issues
Training:
Some of the skills you will learn are:
- Patient care techniques
- Emergency medical techniques
- Methods of sterilizing surgical equipment
- Plaster-casting techniques
