Directly coordinate the movement and vaccination of all eggs to designated locations abiding by all safety and health policies.

Duties/Activities Required by Job

A. PULLING EGGS

1. Turn eggs manually into level position. Turn switch "off".
2. Turn machine humidity "off".
3. Pull only the number designated on the set sheet (1 through 6). Pull flock number
tag and put on end flat, top row.
4. Pull no more than three (3) machines (nine {9] racks) ahead of time.
5. Communicate with other Embrex machine team members - pull one (1) rack at a
time to machine - never make them wait for eggs
6. Take empty racks to buggy washer. Wash, then store in eggroom or washroom
7. Clean the machine middle with after pulling.
8. Turn humidity back on upon removal of eggs.

B. LOADING EMBREX MACHINE

1. Take spatula and remove three (3) flats from the rack at a time.
2. Make sure the open ports on the flats are to the RIGHT.
3. Remove and record any cracks or upside-down eggs.
4. Keep flats loaded continuously, but do not jam into machine.
5. Give flock identification tag to the transfer person to put on outside of
hatcher above rack.
6. Run Q.C. plate after each rack. Replace or repair any defective or stopped up
needles.
7. Assist in cleaning hatcher and setter floors and Embrex machine at day's end.
8. Gloves, goggles, and dust masks are optional and available).

C. TRANSFER OF EGGS

1. Put flock identification tag on the outside of the hatcher above the rack.
2. Remove top lid and place tray on the Embrex tray slide.
3. When vacuum head lifts eggs up, slide tray fully in.
4. When eggs are set down in the tray, vacuum head has released and has lifted up -
pull tray out.
5. Place on dolly (gently so as not to crack eggs), making sure dolly is clean (if not,
notify the Embrex Supervisor for cleaning).
6. Work rapidly, but carefully, removing and recording all cracked and upside-down
eggs.
7. Assist loader in running Q.C. plate.
8. Gloves, goggles, and dust masks are optional and available.
