The hardware team at Nxu has multiple openings for experienced electrical hardware engineers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own hardware development of assigned electrical hardware with an emphasis on analog and/or digital design
  • Identify and capture requirements
  • Perform tolerance and derating analyses
  • Schematic capture
  • PCB layout
  • Prototype build
  • PCBA rework
  • Troubleshooting
  • Design Verification
  • Supporting transitioning to production

IDEALLY, YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH:

  • Cradle-to-grave ownership of multiple medium to high complexity PCBA designs
  • ADCs and DACs
  • Tolerance analysis
  • Stress analysis and component derating
  • Automotive Ethernet
  • CAN
  • I2C
  • SPI
  • LIN
  • Low noise design
  • EMC mitigation and compliance testing
  • Simulation software such as LTspice®
  • Altium®

AND YOU’RE SOMEONE WHO IS:

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Capable of making decisions with imperfect and incomplete information
  • Excellent communicator
  • Creative & critical thinker
  • Action taker
  • Team player
