RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

• Assist customers with selecting and purchasing beachwear, swimwear, apparel, souvenirs, and other similar items
• Calculate purchases and process sales transactions using cash register machines. Receive payments by cash, check, credit or debit cards for items purchased. Issue change and receipts to customers. Process store credits for returned or exchanged items.
• Identify and mark product prices on items or store shelves.
• Sort and stock products onto store shelves.
• Bag, box, and/or wrap purchased items for customers.
• Greet customers and answer customers' questions to provide information regarding store products and/or company policies. Answer incoming phone calls.
• Assist with duties in other areas of the store, such as monitoring fitting rooms, boxing packages for shipping, or helping with store cleanliness and facility maintenance.
• Compile and maintain reports to assist with sales and inventory record keeping.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have at least three (3) months of prior full-time experience as a cashier or in a similar occupation in a retail store or in a hospitality or tourism environment.
• Must have or be eligible to obtain a state driver’s license.
• Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

• Employer will offer at least 35 hours of work per week.
• Exact work schedules will vary depending on store assignments and shifts. Work schedule will include evening and weekend hours. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday including holidays. Work shifts of 6 hours to 8 hours are pre-scheduled and will occur between the hours of 8:00 AM to 1:00 AM.
• Stores operates 7 days a week.
• Work will be performed at any of following worksites: Myrtle Beach, SC; North Myrtle Beach, SC; Surfside Beach, SC; Garden City, SC; Mt. Pleasant, SC; Pawley’s Island, SC; Oak Island, NC; or Top Sail, NC.
• Workers will be paid no less than $11.01 per hour. Overtime hours may be available and if so will be paid at the overtime wage rate of $16.52 per hour.
• Employer will provide on-the-job training in the proper use and maintenance of employer's equipment and facilities as needed. Employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. Workers will be paid weekly by check.
