Reports to: Guidance Department/Building PrincipalJob Goals: Perform a variety of administrative and secretarial tasks of various degrees of complexity under minimal supervision. Assist in accurate and timely completion of reports. Maintains database for several programs. Interacts with and handles inquiries for all levels of school administration, school personnel, students, parents and the public.Essential Functions: Provide administrative and secretarial support to guidance counselors.Draft routine correspondence, compile data and file reports. Represent guidance office to parents; handle routine inquiries, crisis intervention services, teacher contacts, tutors, etc. Field all other calls and requests for information to appropriate staff member; take accurate messages. Oversee the maintenance of all student records.
Maintain grade reports, testing results, student schedules and all other information relevant to student records. Scope of work to include: Cross-trained to perform other duties as needed. Completes all guidance purchase orders. Foresees time sensitive activities and advises Guidance Department.
Assist with miscellaneous projects as assigned. General Support of all counselors.School Registrar: Responsible for advising and collecting of all necessary enrollment documentation to include proof of residency. Maintain a CORI data-base for all Tutors and Student tutors/mentors. Responsible for maintaining all areas related to Guidance on the school webpage.
