Compensation:Proposed hiring rate of $22.00+/hour, depending on experience.
Benefits:This is a seasonal position eligible for season pass for employees/dependents and privileges at several other resorts. Several discount programs (i.e. food & beverage, retail/rental, tickets, etc.) also available.
Requirements:The Guest Services Supervisor at Eldora interacts with guests and employees, and works directly with the Director of Guest Services to ensure proper operation of all Guest Services locations. Supervisors are expected to provide excellent customer service to Eldora's guests and be knowledgeable on all Eldora has to offer. Supervisors are expected to be proficient in all transactions including, but not limited to: selling and fulfilling all Eldora products and services, providing cashier training and support with all computer systems and daily procedures/audits. Guest Service Supervisors also provide support to other departments with reporting and POS operations. The ideal Guest Services Supervisor candidate should be comfortable multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment, as well as manage personal stress levels and maintain balance between work and personal life.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Actively engage with Eldora guests in-person, over-the-phone and via email
- Assist cashiers with any sales issues/corrections
- Train and update cashiers on products, policies, and procedures
- Participate in hiring and scheduling for Guest Services Cashiers
- Assist in balancing cashier banks every day including resolving over/short cash issues and providing necessary back-up for daily transactions (additional vault duties may be required)
- Provide accurate product and mountain information to guests
- Handle all inquiries and grievances in a professional and competent manner
- Uphold all Eldora product policies and procedures
- Arrive to work on-time and follow designated schedule
- Adhere to all grooming guidelines and be comfortable discussing a lack thereof with other employees
- Be a champion of Play Forever, Powdr's corporate responsibility commitment to protect the environment and support our community in Eldora's everyday operations
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior Guest Service experience required, 2 yr minimum
- Point of sale and software proficiency preferred, namely RTP, Aspenware, ADP and Microsoft
- Must be able to lift and carry items up to 25lbs
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time, indoors and outdoors
- Must be available weekends and holidays
- Must be available 5 days per week and willing to pick up additional shifts during holiday periods, as well as have flexibility with hours and days of work
- Must speak and read English fluently
- Must be able to speak articulately and eloquently, and hear normal conversations in a noisy environment
- Motivated by collaboration/teamwork
- Well organized and focused on continuous improvement
- Ability to accurately and efficiently analyze data
