TEACH

We center each learning experience on Jesus Christ and His example, attributes, and redeeming power. We help students learn the restored gospel of Jesus Christ as found in the scriptures and words of the prophets. We help students fulfill their role in learning for themselves. We strive to invite the Holy Ghost to fulfill His role in each learning experience.

LEAD

We pattern our leadership after the example of Jesus Christ. We invite and encourage all youth and young adults to participate in seminary and institute. We seek to strengthen those we lead, effectively administer the work, and build unity with others. Our efforts assist and support individuals, families, and priesthood leaders.


Provide clerical and administrative support to the Utah Valley Institute, as well as be primarily responsible for the graphic design and visual elements in the building for student events, marketing campaigns, website etc. by maintaining and creating visual images in web, print, and video. Candidates must have the following:

  • In-depth knowledge of graphic design, styles and layout techniques, typography, and photo editing.
  • Strong knowledge and skills in the Adobe design programs: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom.
  • Responsible for creating the following (but not limited to): Event posters, banners, fliers, swag, t-shirts, managing and designing website, schedules, editing photos, directories, programs, invites, etc.
  • Understand policies and programs. Demonstrate a willingness to accept and complete assignments given by supervisor or other faculty members.
  • Assist employees and help students fulfill their role in the learning process.
  • Be positive and promote a strong spirit of inclusion for all students.
  • Effectively use time.

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent plus two years' post high school education or training.
  • 1+ year of secretarial or administrative assistant experience preferred.
  • Basic office skills including simple research abilities, knowledge of the operation and maintenance of standard office equipment, and basic familiarity with standard office software sufficient to create or modify spreadsheets and word processing documents.
  • Ability to communicate professionally in writing and verbally.
  • To successfully perform the essential functions of the job there may be physical requirements which need to be met such as sitting for long periods of time, moving about the office to deliver mail and other items, and using computer monitors/equipment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in performing detailed work with ability to maintain strict confidences.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
  • Must be able to perform tasks accurately and in a timely manner.
