OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Graphic Designer is more than someone creating graphics and creating assets for social media platforms, emails, trade shows and marketing materials— the heart of this role is to elevate PJi’s brand awareness through creative visual engagement. Our goal is to constantly focus on meeting customer needs through technology, team development, and further diversifying product and service offerings. In this role, you should be an excellent communicator willing to work in a team environment and collaborate with others to complete tasks and reach goals.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create, develop graphics for social media - Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok
• Create graphics for press releases, emails, social media posts, the website, marketing materials, trade shows
• Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and materials
• Plans concept by studying information and materials
• Illustrates concept by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts
• Obtains approval of concept by submitting draft layout for approval and collecting feedback to prepare final version.
• Completes projects by coordinating with internal departments and contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Understanding of Google anylytics, social media platforms, and YouTube
• Front End Web Updates
• Support implementation of marketing projects and strategies
• Collaborate with marketing, product development, operations, and sales to identify products and messages to promote
• Develop QR codes for marketing campaigns
• Working within a creative team to collaboratively achieve goals and objectives
• Creating new ways to visually and creatively drive traffic to pilotjohn.com

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proficient in editing software, such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
• Portfolio available for review
• Strong language skills, editing, writing, proof reading
• Strong communication abilities (oral and written)
• Strong team collaboration skills
• Strong creativity and the ability to recognize good creative work
• Strong organizational skills

• Proven experience as a graphic designer or similar role
• Understanding of media relations and digital media strategies

KNOWLEDGE:

• A bachelor's degree or equivalent in Graphic Design
• Strong working knowledge of Google Advertising
