What is the role of the Grading Division?

The Grading Division is in the Construction Group. Our grading crews build the foundations for our projects. Our grading crews will build large commercial sites, widen highways and interstates, and work on special projects including building the new Hugh Leatherman Terminal for the SC Ports Authority.

What is a Grading Technician?

This person performs labor operations for the grading crew including shoveling, hand grading, using power tools, assists with surveying, and assists with other grading crew operators.

• Perform ground/labor operations for grading crews
• Assist other grading personnel in all grading functions
