Full Job Description:
We’re looking for a Geomatics CAD Technician to post process survey data collected by a variety of means. The candidate will need to be able to quality check survey data, GPS data, and provide visual interpretation of field data, satellite and aerial imagery.
Occasional field work mainly with GPS equipment is part of the position. Other field work is possible and includes GIS data acquisition, support Drone and Mapping teams.
Responsibilities
  • This person is responsible for the production of maps and drawings.
  • The major objectives are the quality (accuracy, thoroughness, clarity) of work, meeting schedules, within budgets, and responsive service to clients.
  • This person will coordinate the production of maps and drawings to cover all details so that the quality is present and budgets and schedules are met.
  • This person will be responsible for downloading/uploading field data, technical production of maps and drawings using various software platforms, and communicating with the project team.
Required Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of experience in AutoCAD/MicroStation, processing survey computation, C&G, Trimble, Data processing, GPS, boundary, surveys, ALTA/ACSM Land Title surveys, topographic surveys, utility route surveys and construction staking
  • Good technical skills; behavioral traits of process oriented, steady, helpful, analytical, problem solver, likes to work alone when required, methodical, consistent, detail oriented, precise, hates mistakes, likes structure
  • Must have a valid driver's license, an acceptable motor vehicle record, a cleared criminal background check and drug test
  • Strong listening, writing and verbal communication skills
  • Proven work history, strong work ethic and team-player attitude
