General Manager
Job description
The General manager is responsible for all aspects of operations at the hotel, to day-to-day staff management and guests. He / She should be an ambassador for the brand and your hotel. Provide leadership and strategic planning to all departments in support of our service culture, maximized operations and guest satisfaction. Work Very closely with the hotel owners, regional directors, and other stake holders.
Responsible for managing the Hotels management team and overall hotel targets to deliver an excellent Guest experience. A General Manager would also be required to manage between profitability and guest satisfaction measures.
As the General Manager of the Residence Inn by Marriott Glenside, your job requirements will be as follows:
*Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
*Marriott Experience a MUST
*Complete/Delegate Month End paperwork and bi-weekly payroll
*Promote positive guest and associate satisfaction throughout property.
*Demonstrated ability to lead a team.
*Ensures that all guest related issues are resolved in a manner consistent with the company's goals and objectives.
*Recruit qualified applicants. Trains associates in accordance with company standards.
*Communicates all Corporate and Brand policies and procedures to entire staff. Conducts regular meetings to provide various information including company communications, policy reviews, local property activities, goals, etc.
*Conducts coaching/counseling sessions, performance evaluations, prepares disciplinary documentation, conducts terminations.
*Ensures that associate related issues are resolved in a manner consistent with company policies.
*Manages associate personnel forms, including hiring, performance evaluations, payroll and benefits related information, requires Federal and State postings, etc.
*Holds Team accountable but also have some FUN!
*Works with Director of Sales to manage all sales activities of the property and meet revenue objectives. Activities include weekly revenue calls, joining in outside sales calls and activities, setting budgets and goals, completing competitive surveys and compiling reports.
*Identifies and seeks out potential business in local market. Maintains relationships with local companies and keep contacts to increase properties visibility within the local market.
*Must be able to manage controllable Expenses
*Note: Position is not a remote position - must physically work at the hotel with the Team and Guests'
