General Maintenance Worker

Position Status: Non-Exempt

Duties:
Provides minor repairs, painting, carpet tile replacement, and restoration of walls, doors,
and baseboards broken or marred as a result of contractor moving or relocation
responsibilities and functions; provides emergency clean-up, including use of vacuum
and other cleaning equipment; and removal and installation of ceiling tiles when building
owner’s personnel are unavailable. Performs general maintenance and repair of
equipment and buildings requiring practical skill and knowledge in such trades as
painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and limited electrical work.

Responsibilities of the Job:
This position works under the direct supervision of the Labor Services Supervisor.

General responsibilities include the following:

• Respond to Facility Service Requests (FSR) at direction of the Labor Services Supervisor.
• Install and remove signs, bulletin boards, pictures, posters, etc.
• Assemble, dis-assemble, and /or install furniture and shelving.
• Install and/or remove drapes, blinds, and office fixtures.
• Other duties as assigned pertaining to General Maintenance only.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience performing comparable duties, functions,
• and/or responsibilities to those described above.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds by themselves.
• We are a drug free workplace; must be able to pass a drug screen
• Possess a valid Driver’s License
• Required Education:
• High school diploma or GED
