Job Description

• 
  Under direction, safely performs routine and non-routine maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds, facilities, and related equipment.
• Sample duties may include interior and exterior HVAC, masonry, patching and relining furnaces, pipefitting, carpentry, plumbing, roof repair, landscaping, snow removal, painting, boiler maintenance, and other maintenance requiring electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and other building trades skills as well as basic mechanical maintenance skills.
• May operate forklift, man-lift, skid steer, snow removal, sweeper, buffer, lawn care, chainsaw, powered and unpowered hand tools, and other similar equipment.
• Inspects for quality, defects, and deviations from specifications.
• Responsible for quality of work and appropriately resolving unusual operating conditions.
• Willingly modifies work schedule and duties to accommodate Company needs.
• All other duties as assigned.
• May require the successful completion of specific education, training, or certifications.

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, reading and understanding English language work instructions

Preferred Education: A two-year technical or equivalent degree

Minimum Skills/Experience: one year in a similar position, mechanical aptitude, effective computer use, basic Math skills, independent decision-making, and effective self-management.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Above plus - three to five years of relevant experience, Strong Computer and math skills, one-year on-the-job instruction and/or apprenticeship programs, and strong mechanical aptitude as demonstrated through success at increasingly more complex assignments.

Functional Requirements

Infrequently able to:

• Manually lift and move product and materials up to 55 lbs. through regular physical exertion, including but not limited to reaching forward, reaching overhead, lifting, carrying, crouching, and bending.
• Power grip and wrist turn, including the use of hand tools and/or steering fork truck
• Walk, sit, or stand for up to 12 hours with intermittent breaks
• Push/pull 100 lbs.
• See, inspect, and evaluate product quality
• Read and understand written work instructions in English
• Work in a non-climate-controlled environment, including hot and humid conditions.
• Walk up and down steps
• Climb ladders and stairs of varying heights
• Wear task-based Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided by LSI
  • Protective Footwear; metatarsals or molders boots depending on the position (reimbursed after 30 days)
  • Hearing Protection
  • Protective Eyewear
  • Gloves
  • Additional PPE as required for specific tasks
