Overview:
The General Clerk III (CIF) is responsible for performing various general clerical task such as data entry, filing documents, answering multi-line phones/voicemail systems, scheduling appointments, reviewing records, producing reports. The General Clerk III is required to have an understanding of workplace operations such as external and internal policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:
  • Gathers, complies, and verifies information and performs data entry.
  • Uses subject-matter knowledge and judgment in completing several repetitive clerical steps performed in a prescribed or varied sequence, such as data entry, filing, operating basic office equipment (i.e. photocopier, facsimile, multi-line phone/voicemail systems, and minimal computer programs.
  • Selects appropriate methods from a wide variety of procedures or makes simple adaptations and interpretations of limited number of substantive guides and manuals.
  • Assists in a variety of administrative matters including, but not limited to, verifying statistical reports for accuracy and completeness, compiling information, scheduling, and handling and adjusting complaints.
  • Assist in inventorying, issuing, receiving and storing equipment as needed.
  • May also direct lower level clerks.
  • Other duties may be assigned to meet organizational/operational objectives.
  • Job duties and responsibilities may change due to contractual requirements.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/CERTICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
SECURITY CLEARANCE:
  • Must be able to pass the standard background check.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • NAC-I clearance required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC)
  • Valid Driver’s License without restrictions.
EXPERIENCE:
  • Three (3) or more years of related experience working in an office environment preferred.
SKILLS:
  • Possess high ethical standards and demonstrate professionalism.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team-based, highly collaborative environment.
  • Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Must be able to operate standard office equipment, such as a computer, multi-functional copier, fax, and office phone.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to stand and walk within work sites 6-8 hours a day in performance of duties.
MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:
  • Standard office equipment, associated computer applications.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
  • Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as protective mask, safety vest, steel or composite shoes/boots, safety gloves, hard hat and eyewear in certain areas.
  • Work will typically be in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.
  • There may be times when an employee is exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
  • Must be able to operate standard office equipment, such as a computer, copy machine and printer.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 45 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand and walk within work sites 6-8 hours a day in perfomace of duties.
  • Must be able to push, pull, carry, stoop, bend, squat and reach.
INSTALLATION REQUIREMENT:
  • To be qualified for this position you must comply with the government customer’s requirement that you either provide proof that you are fully vaccinated for COVID-19, as defined by the CDC, or agree to undergo and provide results of weekly COVID-19 testing. As of now, to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 you must have received either two doses of Pfizer BioNTech Vaccine, two doses of AstraZeneca/Oxford Vaccine, two doses of Moderna Vaccine, or one dose of Johnson & Johnson Vaccine, and two weeks must have elapsed after the final dose was administered.
  • This definition may change in accordance with CDC guidelines.
