STRIVE is active in 13 U.S. locations: in three directly-operated sites and through 10 licensed partners across the country. STRIVE is pursuing an ambitious growth plan to expand our impact in current and new cities.
POSITION SUMMARY
Building on its innovative service model and established network of partners, STRIVE Future Leaders is a multi-state and multi-site initiative funded by the US Department of Labor (USDOL) designed to support justice-impacted young adults' successful entry into local workforce growth industries. Over 36 months, STRIVE Atlanta will provide targeted services to young adults between the ages of 18 to 24 who are at risk for entry into the justice system and have a history of being impacted by the justice system.
The Program Coordinator will oversee and support successful program operations of the STRIVE Future Leaders Program at STRIVE Atlanta to deepen the initiative's impact throughout STRIVE's network. The Program Coordinator will be responsible for developing program-specific structures and policies to meet the needs of program participants and key stakeholders while maintaining fidelity to the STRIVE Future Leaders service delivery model. Success in this role requires excellent attention to detail, strong strategic thinking skills, and the ability to build meaningful relationships, to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced, youth-centered program environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the rollout, implementation for STRIVE Future Leaders Gaining Real Opportunities in the Workforce (Future GROW).
- Foster partnerships with community-based organizations, community colleges, local workforce development boards, employers, and key justice system stakeholders to ensure complete program enrollment and timely reporting back to any appropriate referral source.
- Ensure all outcomes are met, including post-program follow-up and post-program recidivism tracking.
- Plan, execute, and support meaningful program activities for participants to maintain high levels of engagement throughout their program participation.
- Oversee the coordination of multiple service elements, including education, workforce development, workforce credential bearing courses, and other services as directed by the Program Director.
- Provide all program services that successfully assist young adults within their communities by providing consistent support, guidance, and encouragement that helps participants develop positive social relationships that achieve program outcomes.
- Ensure all staff maintains timely data entry of progress notes, program attendance, and other STRIVE Future Leaders milestones.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the program and local community college to provide targeted supports to students engaged in educational and training experiences at partnering community college campuses.
- Monitor compliance with the STRIVE Future Leaders outcomes and applicable STRIVE and federal circulars and program requirements.
Other Duties:
- Work with STRIVE Atlanta staff to integrate essential organizational support services to ensure the STRIVE Future Leaders program participant's success and transition.
- Submit Monthly to the National Program Manager as compiled from monthly assessments and progress notes from case managers and facilitators.
- Travel required to STRIVE National annual professional development conveying's and grant-related conferences
- Performs additional duties and projects as assigned.
Relevant Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Informed of local and national youth and young adult social justice initiatives supporting young adults.
- Must have a minimum of two to three years of professional experience in program management.
- Must have knowledge of barriers to employment due to involvement within the justice system at large.
- Experience and or knowledge of local labor market demands and workforce development boards are preferred.
- Knowledge and experience of young adults' development are required.
- Must have strong time and project management skills.
- The ability to collaborate effectively with a wide range of public and nonprofit partners is a must. Excellent interpersonal skills are required.
- Must have outstanding communication and writing skills
- Intermediate in Microsoft Office or Google Application, Windows applications, internet, and email required. Experience with cloud-based software such as Apricot or Salesforce is helpful.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish/Other) is helpful but not required.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
