Job Description:
- Performs a variety of responsible and confidential human resources management tasks.
- Provides accurate and timely responses to inquiries from employees, management, and Corporate.
- Fosters open communication with all employees.
- Develops and implements employee relations policies, procedures, and programs. Obtains approval from corporate HR prior to implementing new policies, programs, procedures, and training.
- Investigates employee relations issues and provides guidance for effective resolution.
- Provides HR guidance, interpretation, and application consistent with Company policy and precedent.
- Leads performance management and monitors the effectiveness of the program.
- Executes processes related to union grievances, negotiations, and management of union personnel in concert with Labor Relations Manager, where applicable.
- Promotes safety, completes initial workers compensation paperwork, and escalates claims to Corporate Safety that require investigation.
- Leads site recruiting efforts and follows FITT-Sci Corporate hiring workflow.
- Manages site internal and external HRIS position posting processes
- Processes new hire onboarding, position changes, and out-processing actions.
- Establishes and maintains employee records and reports.
- Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in the efficiency of HR services performed to Corporate HR.
- Maintains employee handbook on policies and provides recommended changes to Corporate HR.
- Perform HRIS data entry of employee information, position changes (personnel action forms), applicant tracking, etc.
- Directs day-to-day activities of HR personnel.
- Utilizes Microsoft Office, Email, electronic document repositories, web-based applications (Google shared files), HRIS, timekeeping application.
- Performs other duties as assigned to support HR projects

- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents including policies, compliance documents, laws and regulations, policies, and other directives
- Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints
- Ability to effectively read, write, and interpret written and verbal communication by email, phone, and in-person
Required Qualifications
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS system data entry. Preferred experience with ADP and Time and Expense
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred or equivalent years of experience.
- Experience handling union negotiations, CBA interpretation, and grievance meetings, where applicable.
- A minimum of seven years’ experience in human resources.
- A minimum of three years’ experience in human resource management.
- Experience with government contracting, Service Contract Act (SCA), union labor relations (CBA), where applicable.
- US Citizen.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment and background checks related to the position

- Experience working in Human Resources within the Government Contracting Industry
- Ability to be comfortable with a high-volume workload and not afraid to roll up your sleeves
- Experience with the rapid and complex changing work environment
- Passion for innovative HR solutions and process improvements; demonstrated experience driving process improvements
- Success in creating and driving effective employee relations.
- A strong solution focus and must be comfortable working in an environment that demands strong deliverables.
- Ability to identify problems and drive appropriate solutions
- Experience handling sensitive information and has a commitment to maintaining confidentiality
- Must have the ability to demonstrate work quality with great accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent customer service focus with the ability to communicate in a professional, courteous, and respectful manner
- Ability to follow guidelines, regulations, and policies, as well as the ability to interpret and explain complex policies and procedures in a clear and consistent manner
- Manages time effectively when accomplishing tasks and assignments
- Listens writes, and speaks effectively
- Proven ability to interact comfortably, effectively, and respectfully with individuals at all levels of the Company
- Ability to prioritize, organize and manage resources to accomplish time-bound projects
- Proven ability to multi-task
- Experience with Paycom a plus
