Salary Range: $18 -$25 per hour (depending on experience)

Job Summary-

Under the general direction of the Director of Surgical Services, and in collaboration with other health care personnel, schedules surgical procedures, other procedures in NCSH and PAT appointments, maintains surgical scheduling file, accurately maintains bed control document, and assists with organization of the surgery schedule as required by the OR Manager and in collaboration with Radiology, IP and Surgical Support Services manager.

Job Duties-

• Performs daily clerical duties related to procedures of scheduling cases
• Accepts emails/faxes/phone calls from surgeon's offices and posts cases on requested dates.
• Provides clerical support to the assigned department: maintains log of patient information; proofs, corrects, verifies and enters accurate patient information into scheduling module.
• Maintains bed schedule in collaboration with Inpatient Services Director

Training, Education, and Experience-

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Must be able to communicate and understand the English language both verbal and written
• Knowledge of medical terminology, excellent computer skills, typing skills, previous surgery scheduling experience required
