Job Description: Edison park family seeking a warm, caring nanny for 2 children. Nanny should be reliable and comfortable managing 2 children at once. ASAP start date.
Schedule: Guaranteed 40 hours per week. M-F 8:00am – 4:00pm. If candidate desires less hours, family can accommodate early release on Fridays.
Compensation: $1000 - $1,080/week + vacation, holidays, PTO
Job Details and Responsibilities:
- Two children: 4 yo. in full-time school and 1 yo. at home full-time.
- 4 yo. is off in the summers so nanny should be able to come up with a weekly plan for both.
- Primary responsibility is childcare such as taking children outside for walks and to parks, providing meals, facilitating naps, developmental and learning activities.
- Nanny should be knowledgeable regarding developmentally appropriate activities and games for both ages.
- Nanny should be knowledgeable regarding child development and milestones.
- A few times a week, nanny may be asked to pick up older child from school a short drive away. This duty will be split with mom.
- Various responsibilities such as light housekeeping, wiping down surfaces, vacuuming, picking up toys, folding children's laundry etc. Family employs a housekeeper for deep cleaning.
- One parent works from home in separate office space.
Qualifications:
- Nanny should have verifiable experience working with 2 children and looking for a long-term commitment with a family.
- Reliable and communicative.
- Enthusiastic, engaged, with a positive attitude.
- Warm and loving.
- Parents would like someone who is part of the team and will collaborate with parents on the best for the children.
- Nanny should drive and have a safe driving record. Family can provide a vehicle to use on the job.
- COVID vaccine and flu shots are requested.
