JOB OVERVIEWThis position is responsible for all front desk duties, including but not limited to greeting patients, collecting co-payments, managing patient billing/insurance records, updating notes in the patients’ EMR, and other office duties as assigned. HOURS ARE MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY 10:30AM TO 7:OOPM FRIDAY 8:30-5
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
1. Greets patients. 2. Checks patients in for their appointment. 3. Schedules appointments.4. Enters/verifies demographic information.5. Enters/verifies insurance eligibility/ benefits.6. Collects and posts co-payments.7. Obtains authorization/ notification for all scheduled tests.8. Enters authorization/ notification into patient charts.9. Scans documents, makes copies and other general office duties.10. Scans and completes authorization/ notification information in EMR. 11. Maintains all insurance log ins.12. Adheres to organizational policy with particular attention to standards of conduct and to confidentiality as it relates to HIPAA.13.Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Skills/Abilities: Personality and demeanor to deal with the public and assist ill, older, or distraught patients.Basic office skills such as typing and filing.Good organizational skills.
Education A high school diploma/GED required.
Experience2. Previous experience in a medical office is preferred.
Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times, patient assist when necessary.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.75 per hour
