R. Jack Balthazar is a full-service event design firm and seeks an organized, creative, and dedicated individual to join our Event Design team as a Floral Designer. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and should have experience in floral design and décor installations for large scale events.

This position is primarily in studio, although travel and off-site work will be required. A clean driving record and a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in floral design, preferably in the special events industry are required.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Prepare and Design arrangements utilizing new and existing fresh floral recipes

· Follow design decks and load lists to pull/install décor items for events

· Participate in the receiving and processing of floral deliveries

· Assist with studio upkeep; sweep, clean buckets, take out trash

· On-site floral design and large installations

Skills & Requirements:

The ideal candidate will:

· Expert knowledge of fresh flowers and plants – well versed in all areas of floral design

· Be capable of maintaining high standards under pressure and realizing tight deadlines

· Exhibit a high level of organization, flexibility, and resourcefulness

· Have the ability to work independently as well as in a team setting, and on multiple projects simultaneously

· Candidates should expect a variable schedule based on pre-production deliverable's and event schedules – which will include weekends, nights, and holidays

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
