POSITION PURPOSE

This individual is responsible for the day-to-day handling of inventory at DC2. Duties will include picking, packing, and loading material and assignment of work and work functions to warehouse associates as necessary to ensure timely and accurate completion of warehouse tasks. This position will work closely with Picking, Order Fulfillment and Shipping to achieve division objectives while maintaining a focus on customer service and inventory accuracy. This individual contributes to a positive team atmosphere and applies safety guidelines in a fair and consistent manner.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DUTIES

QUALIFICATION AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

1. High school diploma/GED. Some college is preferred.

2. Experience in warehouse/distribution management and inventory accuracy.

3. Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience operating forklifts.

4. Must have a minimum of 2 years of team lead or supervisory experience.

5. Must have experience warehousing finished goods and raw materials.

6. Must have a working knowledge of a Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and warehouse management concepts.

7. Must demonstrate a “hands on” problem solving approach.

8. Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication and organizational skills, strong analytical skills with attention to details, and be able to influence individuals to achieve results.

9. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office - Outlook, Excel, etc.

10. Experience in a start-up operation a plus.

JOB DUTIES:

1. Manage daily warehouse picking activities ensuring 100% compliance to required performance levels.

2. Manage picking process for outbound orders and Kitting/Labeling production to deliver the highest level of customer service.

3. Monitor activities to ensure timely and accurate flow of transactional information.

4. Promote safety in work processes and associate performance by supporting company and facility safety programs.

5. Responsible for inventory accuracy and control within the d with sticked adherence to picking priority methods – FEFO, FIFO, LIFO, etc.

6. Investigate errors to determine root cause and recommend corrective actions.

7. Bring ideas to management and be able to implement necessary process improvements.

8. Develop mutually beneficial, respectful, and effective relationships with peers to ensure seamless coordination between departments, maximize synergy, and maintain a shared vision, strategy, and focus.

9. Drive strict adherences to Standard Operating Procedures

10. Keep the warehouse clean and adhere to the 5’S Housekeeping Standards

11. Lead and develop the inventory management team.

12. Develop mutually beneficial, respectful, and effective relationships with peers to ensure seamless coordination between departments, maximize synergy, and maintain a shared vision, strategy, and focus.

13. Able and willing to work necessary hours to meet all project deadlines, travel when necessary.

14. Oversees and contributes to the development and continual improvement of the SHEQ Management System(s).
