Description
Thomson-Hood Veterans Center is looking for a self-motivated, energetic Food Service Worker who possesses the desire to care for Kentucky’s Veterans. Expectations for this position include but are not limited to:
  • Assisting in preparing and serving meals
  • Maintain dietary work areas equipment and utensils in a safe clean and sanitary condition
  • Transport food and set up Buffet lines.
  • Ensures scheduled cleaning duties (dishwashing, sweeping, mopping, etc.) are completed.
  • Disposes of food and waste in accordance with rules and regulations.
This job requires mandatory COVID 19 vaccination or an approved exemption in accordance with CMS-3415-IFC from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. This means if appointed to the position, the applicant must have completed the primary vaccination series for COVID-19, which means the administration of a single-dose vaccine or the administration of all required doses of a multi-dose vaccine upon commencement of employment. The vaccine received must be one of the FDA-approved or FDA-authorized vaccines. Proof of vaccination will be required. If a medical or religious exemption is sought, the candidate must submit paperwork to the employer prior to appointment for review and approval.
