Summary: This position requires an individual with strong communication and organizational skills to serve as a liaison between film payables and distribution. Responsibilities include inputting film terms and running film settlements, monitoring and tracking bills related to film content delivery, coordinating with the Director of Film Reporting to send film payments to distributors, working with film buyers to ensure booking accuracy, utilizing custom software to provide reports, process film payments, and payment adjustments, communicating with the Accounting Department to ensure film payment processes are seamless, problem solving when reporting issues arise, and providing support to the Director of Film Reporting System.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Regular and Consistent Attendance
  • Liaison between film payables and distribution. Includes providing various communication reports for box office, film payments, and settlements
  • Input film terms and run film settlements
  • Monitor and track bills relating to film content delivery
  • Coordinate with Director of Film Reporting in sending film payments to distributors (both electronic and physical checks)
  • Work with film buyers to ensure bookings are accurate and facilitate corrections, as needed.
  • Identify which theatres do not have showtimes up so the film department can follow-up with theatres
  • Utilize custom software to provide reports, process film payments and payment adjustments
  • Communicate with Accounting Department to ensure film payment processes are seamless
  • Problem solve when reporting issues arise
  • Work closely with Director of Film Reporting System and provide support as directed

Education/Experience:

High school diploma is required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. In-theatre experience a plus.

Language Ability:

Must have good reading, writing, and speaking skills to effectively communicate with studios, managers, and co-workers.


Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to develop and interpret charts.


Reasoning Ability:

Perform under pressure and/or opposition at times relying on your own independent judgment and knowledge to decide the best directions and solutions.


Computer Skills:

Must be proficient with Microsoft products, especially Excel. Word processing, spreadsheets, database program knowledge.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
