Financial Applications Administrator
Job description
Bond, Schoeneck & King, PLLC, a law firm of 285 attorneys, is accepting applications for a full-time Financial Applications Administrator to support our Information Technology department in our Syracuse, NY office. This person can also work from our Albany, Rochester, or Buffalo office. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional troubleshooting skills, a high level of professionalism and ability to multi-task and prioritize work as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Designing, building, and scaling the current database environment through creating stored procedures, functions and views
- Development and support for firm’s applications using SQL, SSRS, and workflow tools to improve work production, collaboration and system efficiencies
- Understand and leverage third-party APIs, components and system integrations
- Determine, enforce and document database procedures and standards
- Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new application patches and versions when required
- Act as lead in application data quality and issue resolution for supported applications
- Protecting applications and databases from unauthorized access by implementing security measures
- Engage application vendors for support and implementation of recommended fixes
- Keep current with new application features and promote their use within the Firm
- Create and maintain development environment for critical applications such as Aderant and Intapp
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s Degree and 10+ years of experience
- Strong command of MS SQL server stored procedures, relational database structures, SSRS, Visual Studio and MS Excel
- 5+ years of experience administering legal financial systems such as Aderant and new business intake applications such as Intapp Open
- 3+ years of experience working with API integrations
- Proven ability to diagnose and solve problems within complex and highly integrated enterprise applications, either by working with third party vendors or using appropriate tools and techniques
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and high attention to detail
- Basic understanding of accounting and finance principles
- Strictly adhere to the firm’s change management and other operational policies
- The ability to dynamically adjust the transfer of knowledge to co-workers as well as end-users in terms to which they understand
