SUMMARY
To support the development of new automotive related businesses in the Caribbean and Latin America Region through the application of market research and financial feasibility studies using project evaluation metrics. To assist the internal approval process of business ideas by the company's management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understand the Automotive Division strategy and how to contribute to business growth.
- Generate business ideas in line with the company strategy to generate growth
- Develop and maintain project schedules/plans from inception through implementation
- Design a market research plan with key data to collect and method of collecting data
- Communicate and coordinate activities with key persons in the subsidiary companies in Latin America and/or the Caribbean
- Produce high quality trip reports as well as detailed reports on the gathered data
- Communicate and coordinate with consultants activities related to project planning and implementation
- Reporting to management on project status on a periodic basis
- Gather and analyze information related to relevant regulations in the specific markets
- Gather and analyze market data as a base of financial projections
- Develop and analyze projected financial statements for the financial evaluation of new projects
- Prepare business plans and documents for the approval of the projects by the Board of Director
- Support in the project approval process by the BOD.
- Support the execution of the business plans including periodic reports to Management
- Kaizen the processes and procedures
- Contribute to automotive departments special projects as assigned.
- Manage relationships with subsidiaries and with TTC
- Must be available for travel within the US, Latin America and the Caribbean (25%-30% of time).
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree preferably in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance. MBA and/or Project Mgmt. certificate a plus.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in new business development / projects, preferably in the automotive area with knowledge of project evaluation tools (Net Present Value) and key accounting/financial principles including cash flow.
- Ability to read, write and communicate in Spanish is preferred.
