Job Summary:

The Financial Analyst/Administrator will work with the Finance Business Partner Administration to support these functions at each Palfinger location in North America by performing variance analysis on structural costs, managing budgeted capital expenditures, gathering, analyzing, and interpreting relevant financial data, and supporting important business case development. This position will also assist with financial planning. This position will build a close understanding of the costs that flow through the admin functions in the region and will collaborate with the Finance Business Partner to provide clear transparency to executive management and drive effective cost management. As Palfinger North America continues to align all locations into a single regional model under GPO, it will be critical for the Financial Analyst to provide support, insight, analysis and recommendations to the regional executive leadership on business development projects and strategic decision-making processes.

The chosen candidate will help prepare monthly financial statements for the North America Holding company in an accurate and timely manner, all while adhering to and maintaining internal controls according to the group guidelines.

The position will also provide administrative support to the regional finance department and regional Vice President of Finance, helping to develop important presentations, oversee on and off-site meeting/conference planning and other ad hoc assignments.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Focus on business improvement initiatives and projects for admin functions
• Support the North America Finance Business Partner - Admin with monthly financial statement preparation for the Holding company
• Drive regional customer credit analysis process and reinforce adherence to group policy
• Provide research, data extrapolation and financial analysis to test assumptions and provide business case recommendations
• Provide monthly financial variance analysis on budget vs. actual for admin functions
• Drive and support critical financial projects to align and streamline operations.
• Support Structural Personnel Cost planning for annual forecasts and quarterly simulation planning
• Provide ad-hoc support for special projects
• Support the local Finance Managers on Admin-related projects
• Other duties assigned by North America Finance Business Partner – Admin and Regional Vice President of Finance

Qualifications:

• 1 to 2 years of experience as it relates to financial analysis, financial statement preparation
• Experience managing projects or multiple activities, preferred
• BS/BA Degree in Accounting or related field
• CPA or CMA certification a plus
• Strong Excel and analysis skills
• Ability to collaborate with a multi-department, geographically dispersed team
• Experience gathering data, performing analysis to create new ideas that help promote key business decisions.
• Strong communication skills
• Experience in SQL report writers or manipulating large databases strongly preferred
• SAP experience a plus
