This position will perform all the functions of the Financial Aid and Administration as indicated below, as well as be available for special projects. Key Job Elements:
· Responsible for the Awarding of Financial Aid to all existing and new students
· Develop, negotiate and finalize student financial plans consistent with financial planning policies and procedures and Federal/State regulations for awarding aid.
· Work closely with students and their families to ensure the plan and re-plan continue to best meet the families' needs.
· Develop, implement and revise policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal and state laws, regulations and college policies related to financial aid and scholarships.
· Coordinate and manage all financial aid programs, ensuring compliance with all federal,
state, and institutional financial aid regulations, policies and procedures.
· Monitor, approve, and/or revise all financial aid packaging for all qualified applicants in accordance with federal, state, institutional, and other policies and procedures.
· Complete the Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) and Return of Title IV Funds processes.
· Complete coordination of student loan processing between students, federal government, and the institution.
· Complete Title IV refunds and repayments, including U.S. Department of Education and National Student Loan Data System notifications.
· Complete Federal Funds account reconciliation process with 3rd party servicer.
· Administer appeals process related to SAP and Special Circumstances. Establish appeals committee and appeal guidelines. Train appeals committee and ensure they follow procedural and regulatory requirements. Notify students of appeal outcomes and counsel students on available options.
· Develop, modify, implement and maintain the application intake and tracking process for proper documentation of all awards for audit trail.
· Maintain fund control records in accordance with funding level limitations.
· Complete federal, state, and institutional reports including applications for federal funding and reports the expenditures of funds allocated, such as the FISAP.
· Coordinate internal reconciliation efforts and report to reviewing entities, such as auditors, program reviewers, and accreditation teams.
· Develop and conduct financial aid presentations and participate in institute activities, such as New Student Outreach, High School Outreach, financial aid workshops, etc.
· Quality control and upkeep of all Financial Aid and Academic files using Dept. of Education guidelines
· Complete all for-public publications, i.e. Campus Safety and Security Reporting,
· Input monthly student grades, clinical requirements and assessments into Genesis student software
· File all tests, time sheets and Financial Aid information
· Complete bi-monthly ERR reports via FASline
· Complete all quarterly IPEDS surveys
· Prepare all documents, reports and files for annual Financial Audit
· Student accounts
Job Requirements (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
Knowledge:
· Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s degree preferred) in student personnel or related area and a minimum of three years of increased administrative responsibilities for financial aid programs at a college or university or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Advanced knowledge of Federal, State, or commercial loan packages.
Abilities:
· Ability to interact effectively as a member of a team and work collaboratively with other departments.
· Ability to listen to customers (e.g. students, staff, etc.) and to understand and respond positively to their requests.
· Superior organizational and problem resolution skills.
· Ability to work without close supervision and to set one’s own priorities and work schedule.
· Ability to read, comprehend and comply with federal and state laws, regulations and policies pertaining to the provision of student financial aid.
· Ensures that students are informed about their eligibility for financial aid by developing and directing a system for collecting and evaluating applications, and for the timely and effective awarding of all types of financial aid
· Maintains confidentiality of information exposed to in the course of business regarding students, supervisors or other employees
· Ability to deal effectively with a diverse student body
· Ability to commit to a team-building approach
· Experience with need analysis, counseling, and packaging aid
· Ability to work under pressure to meet timelines and objectives
· Good interpersonal and communication skills with both faculty and student populations
· Excellent written communication skills.
· Strong basic computer software (MS Office) skills
· Ability to self-start and investigate, use and master self-study resources

Pay: $48,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
