Bank Teller/ Finance Representative
Location: Charlotte, NC 28262
Pay Rate: $18.69 - $20.69
Duration: 06+ months contract (with possible extension or conversion)
Shift: 7:30 – 4pm to start, possibly in mid-March move to 11am – 8pm
Requirements:
- 2+ years of branch banking, customer service or operations experience
- Knowledge and understanding of unclaimed property and safe deposit box products and business processes
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel)
- Strong investigative and research skills to discover answers and root causes for complex issues or problems.
- Flexibility to adapt to ongoing processing changes
- Time management and personal responsibility.
- 2+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: administrative support, project management, implementation, business operations or strategic planning demonstrated through work or military experience
- Ability to lift 25 lbs.
Job Description:
- Responsible for accurate daily workflow assignments as well as necessary follow-up on issues to ensure assignments are quality driven and achieved.
- Ensure dual control protocols are followed during required activities throughout the receiving, inventory and inbounding and general handling of safe deposit box contents.
- Accurately inventory safe deposit box contents in dual control to ensure quality control, and follow legal/compliance guidelines
- Support escalations and research requests from internal/external partners
- Responsible for reviewing state unclaimed property laws using the SOVOS Portal to ensure processes are aligned with state law
- Manage auction, escheat, and remit processes per state/territory guidelines
- Process reclaims of contents submitted by regional banking branches and other lines of business
- Accountable for tracking and reporting to include drill schedules of incoming content to ensure contents are being received from drilled locations, escalating and following up with missing items, and keeping management apprised of potential issues or concerns
- Performance activities: including accurate inbounding and inventories of contents, updating systems of records, document retention, secure placement of contents, bin location, escheatment/auction reporting, dual control policy, etc.
- Ensure all paper and electronic records are properly updated and stored, and in compliance with all bank policies, information security requirements and procedures.
- Take personal responsibility to raise awareness and promote a diverse and inclusive work environment
- Ability to be flexible in changing roles to support other areas within Unclaimed Property Operations as business needs require, may participate in special projects
- Ensure records retention policies are followed
