Position: Field Training Facilitator II
Full-time, Exempt

In This Role, You Will…
Focus on developing and leading Mariner Finance’s training programs. You will be accountable for providing a comprehensive operational knowledge of the business, departmental tools, and training materials used in support of various aspects of the business and all branch personnel. You will lead training programs related to lending, collections, loan origination, and servicing system functions. In this role, individuals as directed may assist the L&D AVP (or other Learning and Development leadership) in the development of team members’ skills and departmental experience. You will be required to travel up to 50% of the time to provide service to this role’s assigned company locations.

Responsibilities:
  • Accountable for training of loan origination and servicing systems as well as other systems used by the branch network.
  • Recommends and prepares materials in conjunction with the Instructional Design Team for new or existing training courses, which may include creating training presentations, job aids, workflows, and related documentation.
  • Prepares, assembles, evaluates, and revises curriculum materials as requested to meet the employees’ needs.
  • Organizes and leads individual, small, and large group and online training sessions covering different topics from the program curriculum for the branch network and company headquarters.
  • With the Instructional Design Team, helps determine appropriate blend of learning approaches to create and deliver best-in-class learning.
  • Identifies skills or knowledge gaps during trainings and collaborates with hiring managers to implement effective strategies and close learning gaps.
  • Conducts or leads “special projects” in support of the business and branch personnel requiring advanced knowledge of operations, policy, and procedure with the ability to independently assess and adjust training plans.
  • Conducts program tracking, analysis, and reporting and implementation of processes and/or improvements to ensure successful and sustainable deployment of curriculum as well as appropriate training objectives.
  • Ensures training content and delivery are aligned with Mariner Finance Policy and Procedures, strategic company goals, vision statement, and mission statement.
  • Assists with development of FTFIs, including onboarding, demonstration of training tools and curriculums, and document review.
  • Acts in a peer mentor capacity to promote the culture, vision, and mission of Mariner Finance Learning and Development.
  • Demonstrates superior facilitation skills in both VILT and face-to-face delivery and the ability to mentor peers in development of their facilitation skillset.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or three to five (3-5) years of related experience.
  • Demonstrates ability to attain certification on facilitation curriculum achieved through corresponding train-the-trainer courses.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Excellent oral, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to handle travel requirements to service the entire company. Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the loan origination and servicing systems, lending, collecting, policies, and procedures of a branch and Human Resources compliance is required.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal consumer finance compliance rules and regulations for all states.
  • Ability to contribute to a team atmosphere and build morale, and facilitate group commitments to goals and objectives. Ability to support everyone’s efforts to succeed and will also gain the trust of others, work ethically and uphold organizational values.
  • Participation in and successful completion of supervisory/management/regulatory/credit education and training required as a condition of employment.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended period; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
